Shana Cleveland Releases Walking Through The Morning Dew From Manzanita Out March 10th

Shana Cleveland Releases Walking Through The Morning Dew From Manzanita Out March 10th

Today songwriter, musician, visual artist, and writer Shana Cleveland (La Luz) has released the dreamy “Walking Through The Morning Dew,” the newest single off her forthcoming solo album, Manzanita which is out March 10 via Hardly Art Records. The LP is set in the natural world and Cleveland’s move to rural California allowed for most of the songwriting to take place outside. Shana says, “This is a song about Spring and rebirth. In California, Spring is the season when nature comes inside. The house is suddenly full of weird bugs. A line from this song encapsulates the album -  ‘Everything is blindingly in bloom.’”

Dick Stusso Returns With S.P. His New Album Out March 24th

Dick Stusso Returns With S.P. His New Album Out March 24th

On March 24th, Hardly Art will release the third album from everyone’s favorite, increasingly unhinged rock phenom Dick Stusso. His latest long player, S.P. is a document of slow, full mental unraveling in a money-chasing saga set with a world in perpetual decay as its backdrop. With S.P., the man behind the Dick Stusso persona (specifically, California-based singer and songwriter Nic Russo, who is doing much better than his fictional counterpart) has created his most out-there and toothsome record to date, plunging his listeners into a world that might seem strange—that is, until they take a look at what’s actually around them too.

Shana Cleveland Announces New Album Manzanita Out March 10; Shares Single "Faces in the Firelight"

Visual artist, writer, songwriter, and musician Shana Cleveland (La Luz) has announced the forthcoming release of a new solo album, Manzanita, on March 10 via Hardly Art Records.   Today she shares the first peak of the LP via the orchestral pop single “Faces in the Firelight.”  The song is addressed to both her son (written while he was in utero) and her life partner Will Sprott (Shannon and the Clams) “The song is about watching Will tend to a huge burn pile that was still going long after dark and realizing that out there in the dark field he looked like the ultrasound image we had on our fridge,” she says. “I was thinking that the greatest act of love might be to wait for someone. To say, ‘I’ll be here whenever you’re done, whenever you’re ready.’”
