Today, Brooklyn trio IAN SWEET unveiled another track from their upcoming full-length Shapeshifter via a “Band to Watch” write-up on Stereogum. “#23” is, in part, a tribute to lead singer Jilian Medford’s favorite athlete Michael Jordan (that’s not a hashtag, it’s a jersey number), while also continuing the album’s themes of self-reflection, coping, and transformation. Listen below. Additionally, the band was the subject of a new article in the Village Voice today. Read that here

Shapeshifter is out Friday, September 9th on LP, CD, digital and cassette formats. The first pressing will be available on white wax and is currently available for preorder. The band’s self-titled debut EP is out now. Check the tour page to see a list of all upcoming shows!
